Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 22, 2026
SharkyPOD Monitor is a service operated by Enlightened by Design, LLC.
This Privacy Policy describes how Enlightened by Design, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information from visitors to sharkypodmonitor.com and subscribers to SharkyPOD Monitor, including information we receive when you choose to sign in with your Google account.
1. Data We Collect
Contact Form Visitors
Full name, email address, and message content are collected solely for responding to inquiries.
SharkyPOD Monitor Subscribers
- Account details: your first and last name, your email address, and, if you choose to provide them, a business name and phone number.
- Sign-in details: the information needed to sign you in and keep your account secure, handled by our sign-in provider (see Section 5). If you sign in with Google, this includes the Google information described in Section 2.
- Printify API Token: the read-only token you provide so we can monitor your inventory, safely encrypted.
- Shop and stock data: your shop's name and sales channel, and the stock availability of your products and variants, which we read from Printify on a schedule to detect changes.
- Notification addresses: any additional email addresses you provide to us.
- Billing information: payment details and billing address are collected and processed by Stripe and Link (see Section 5). We do not review or store your billing information separately.
- Optional business tax information: if you are a business and choose to provide a business tax ID (such as a VAT, GST, or similar number) and your legal business name at checkout, it is collected by Stripe and Link, printed on your invoices, and used to determine the correct tax treatment. We may receive a copy from Stripe. Providing it is optional unless the law of your country requires it for you to purchase.
The service requires three read-only API scopes: shops.read, products.read,
catalog.read. These scopes do not permit any write, edit, publish, delete, or
order-related actions on your Printify account.
We are not liable if a customer grants broader access permissions than specified above.
2. Google User Data
SharkyPOD Monitor offers "Continue with Google" as a way to create an account and sign in. This section explains how we access, use, store, and share Google user data.
What we access
When you sign in with Google, we request only Google's basic sign-in permissions. We receive your name, your email address and whether Google has verified it, and your Google profile picture if one is available. We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, Contacts, or any other Google service, and we cannot read or change anything in your Google account.
How we use it
We use this information only to create and identify your SharkyPOD Monitor account, to link your account to your subscription, to send you the stock alerts and account messages you have signed up for, and to respond to your support requests. We do not use Google user data for advertising, marketing to third parties, or any purpose unrelated to operating the service.
How we store it
Your name and email address are stored in our database, and your sign-in record is stored by our sign-in provider. Access is restricted as described in Section 4.
Who we share it with
We do not sell Google user data, and we do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties. It is shared only with the service providers listed in Section 5 who help us run the service, and only as needed for that purpose, or where the law requires it.
Limited Use
SharkyPOD Monitor's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your choices
You can stop SharkyPOD Monitor from accessing your Google account at any time by removing it at myaccount.google.com/permissions. You can also ask us to delete your account and the Google information associated with it through our contact page (see Sections 7 and 8).
3. How We Use Your Data
Data supports service operation, stock notifications, communications, inquiry responses, and legal compliance. Our legal basis under GDPR is contract performance for subscribers, and legitimate interest for contact inquiries.
4. How We Store and Protect Your Data
Your account information and shop data are kept in cloud infrastructure with restricted access, and your Printify API Token is stored encrypted. Stripe and Link handle payment processing; full card details remain inaccessible to us. Our sign-in provider handles sign-in and account authentication. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
5. Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers. We rely on a small number of service providers to operate SharkyPOD Monitor, and each maintains contractual privacy obligations:
- Payments: Stripe (payment processing) and Link (merchant of record for subscription purchases, which also sends receipts and certain subscription emails).
- Sign-in: an authentication provider that handles account sign-in and, if you choose it, Google sign-in, together with Google itself.
- Email delivery: a provider that delivers our alert and account emails.
- Hosting: a cloud hosting and database provider.
- Contact form: a form provider that receives messages you send through our contact page.
6. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States and the European Union.
7. How Long We Retain Your Data
- Account information (your name, email address, business name and phone number if provided, notification addresses, shop names and stock history, and your sign-in account, including information received from Google): kept for as long as you have an account with us, including after you cancel your subscription, so that you can sign in and restart your subscription at any time. We keep it until you ask us to delete your account (see Section 8), unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
- Printify API Token: deleted as soon as your subscription ends. If you restart your subscription, you will be asked for a token again.
- Contact submissions: retained indefinitely unless deletion is requested.
- Billing records: retained per legal requirements and the policies of Stripe and Link.
8. Your Rights
Subscribers may request access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, consent withdrawal, and freedom from automated decision-making affecting their legal rights. Requests, including requests to delete your account and any Google information we hold, receive a response within 30 days via the contact form.
To delete your account, contact us through our contact page. Deleting your account permanently removes your account information, shop and stock history, and sign-in account, and cannot be undone. If you return later, you will need to create a new account. Billing records held by Stripe and Link are kept as the law requires.
EU/EEA residents may lodge complaints with their national data protection authority.
9. Residents of Canada
We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for residents of Quebec, Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector. Our Privacy Officer is responsible for how we protect personal information and can be reached through our contact page. You may ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you as described in Section 8. You may also make a complaint to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information. As described in Section 6, your information may be stored outside Canada, including in the United States. If a breach of security involving your personal information creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the appropriate regulator as the law requires, and we keep a record of every such breach for at least 24 months.
10. Children's Privacy
SharkyPOD Monitor and sharkypodmonitor.com are not directed at children under the age of 13.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the sign-in and sign-up pages will not work without these ones.
If we add analytics or similar tools in the future, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
If we make a material change to this policy, we will notify subscribers by email before it takes effect.
13. Business Transfers
Subscriber data and other personal information collected through SharkyPOD Monitor may be transferred to the acquiring or successor party in a sale or merger scenario, and any information received from Google would remain subject to this policy. Before any such transfer, subscribers will be notified by email and given the option to have their account deleted.
